Battle prep part 2

Each general has 200 warriors, 5 officers, and 25 squad leaders.

The general will have a group of guards made of 1 squad of 8 with their squad leader along with an officer in the back. The forward assault force will comprise three generals and their forces.

X= 8 warriors

O= Officer

S= Squad leader

Here is how I have each block set up. Each row comprises 48 warriors and 7 from the command staff, for 55 altogether. This way, the squad of eight get to stay together with their officers and squad leaders mixed in with them.

The other two generals will be off to each side, ready to flank the enemy after first contact. Elwin and his group will be in the back behind the generals, ready to join the fight against the stronger foes.

I made a more comprehensive battle plan which is set up in four stages.

Stage 1: all 5 groups lined up will move into ranged distance and fire arrows into the enemy horde until it moves to engage them.

Stage 2: triggered by the enemy moving in to engage, the three center groups will move in to engage in a wedge formation spearheaded by the middle group.

Stage 3: Trigged by the formation unable to advance any more, the middle group slowly retreats creating an inverted wedge drawing the enemy in. The two flank groups in reserve move to the sides fire off arrows into the enemy.

Stage 4: Triggered by the enemy breaking away to engage the flanks, the center groups even out the battle line with the outer groups slowly retreating this time. The two flank groups close the gap into melee range boxing in the enemy.

When the dark lord sends in the stronger foes the battle lines will shatter forcing the light gods forces to send in their strongest force, the MC’s group.
